- Your photos are encrypted and private by default until you choose to share them.
- You can delete your account and all your data at any time, permanently.
- We use industry-standard encryption and never store payment card details ourselves.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, date of birth, profile photos, and any preferences or details you add to your profile. When you use the app, we also collect usage data such as swipe activity, messages sent (encrypted), and feature interactions to improve the product experience. We collect device information including device type, operating system, and IP address for security and fraud prevention purposes.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to operate and improve tunu, to match you with other users based on your preferences, to verify your identity and maintain platform safety, to send important service communications, and to investigate reports of abuse or violations of our community guidelines. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with trusted service providers who help us operate tunu — including identity verification, cloud hosting, and payment processing. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and may not use it for any other purpose. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
4. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; to object to or restrict certain processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@tunu.app. We will respond within 30 days.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your profile, photos, and messages within 30 days. Some data may be retained for longer where required by law or for legitimate safety purposes.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, regular security audits, and strict access controls. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable any available two-factor authentication.
7. Children's privacy
tunu is strictly for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we discover a user is underage, their account will be immediately terminated and their data deleted.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of tunu after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
